9th Danish Bioimaging symposium 2026

Danish Cancer Institute

7 -8 May, 2026

A big thank you to over 100 participants who joined us at the 9th Danish BioImaging Scientific Symposium at the Danish Cancer Institute on May 7-8!

This year’s theme, Advancing Cancer Research Through Imaging Technologies, was organized into three scientific sessions: Image Analysis, Microscopy Techniques and Cancer Research

Together, these sessions showcased state-of-the-art imaging technologies and image analysis tools that are driving progress in cancer research and other disease areas.

We were also honored to welcome Mads Melbye, Head of the Danish Cancer Institute (DCI) who opened the symposium alongside Christoffel Dinant, Head of DCI Bioimaging Core Facility.

We hope you were inspired by the speakers, connected with new collaborators, and had the opportunity to exchange questions and expertise within the Danish imaging community. The event featured an excellent program of talks, a poster session, workshops, an exhibition area, and the third Danish BioImaging Image Contest.

Moreover, the symposium brochure includes abstracts from the invited speakers and poster presenters, as well as a welcome message from Clara Prats, Director of Danish BioImaging Infrastructure, who reflects on the progress of DBI-INFRA as it enters the final year of its implementation phase. “Our symposium is always an important occasion, not only as a scientific meeting point for the Danish bioimaging community, but also as a moment to reflect on how far we have come together as a national community and research infrastructure. This year is particularly special, as the Danish BioImaging Infrastructure (DBI-INFRA) enters the last year of its implementation phase.”, she writes.
